History
Founded in 1947 in Morris Plains, New Jersey, Boonton Electronics quickly developed a reputation for innovative solutions in the design of power meters, RF voltmeters, and impedance measuring equipment. Today, these systems are used in a wide variety of applications throughout the world
Boonton has recorded several important "firsts" over the years, including the first power sensors using full-wave rectification and the first two-channel power meter. Keeping its core products intact, Boonton has designed new products for emerging "wireless" applications, including cellular/PCS, direct satellite broadcasting, and HDTV.
The development of products, such as the Model 4400A peak power meter, Model 4500A peak power analyzer, the 4230A Series, and its newest Model 4530 Series, were predicated by the company's vision to provide test solutions to these markets with:
- Greater emphasis on commercial markets - Boonton has increased its market share in the growing commercial sector through stronger more effective distribution channels, while maintaining its strong position in the military market.
- Headquarters-The company is located in a large, modern facility in Parsippany, NJ. This facility provides Boonton with the necessary space for R&D and manufacturing.
